RESTYLING HONDA XL 650 TRANSALP
THE CONCEPT:
The Honda Transalp XL650 is a motorcycle that defined an era. A solid, tireless machine, designed to travel anywhere. Precisely for this reason, Mig's Moto Custom chose not to distort it, but to completely restore it , improving its performance, finish, and aesthetics.
The project began with a thorough restoration: the engine, frame, and all mechanical parts were completely repainted in matte black , without emphasizing details, to achieve a clean, uniform, and contemporary look. The bodywork was also redesigned with a modern twist, while maintaining the Transalp's original soul.
CHANGES:
- Complete restoration of the motorcycle, with a general overhaul of the engine and mechanical components.
- Engine, frame and mechanical parts painted in matt black , for a more contemporary and essential aesthetic.
- Bodywork repainted in matt black with airbrushed Transalp lettering , without the use of stickers, embellished with shaded red edges for a modern touch.
- Transalp lettering in silver , fully airbrushed.
- Complete carburetor overhaul , to improve reliability and smoothness of ride.
- Rims painted in gloss black , in contrast with the rest of the bike.
- High smoked windshield , for greater protection on long journeys.
- Rear travel top case , in perfect enduro-touring style.
- Handcrafted saddle covered in micro-perforated eco-leather, with red stitching and embroidered Honda writing .
PHILOSOPHY:
This project was born from a specific choice made by the client: not to buy something new and impersonal , but to bring back to life a great classic from his childhood.
The customer could have purchased the latest version of the Transalp, but he chose to pursue a memory, the bike of his youth, the one he dreamed of as a young man. We turned that dream into reality, creating a restored, modern, and premium Transalp, capable of combining nostalgia and innovation. A motorcycle that demonstrates how true luxury today means having something unique, custom-built, and charged with meaning.
