MIG STREET RACER - HONDA CL500

MigStreetRacer, the special project based on Honda CL500 exhibited at the Honda stand for EICMA Milan 2024

THE CONCEPT:

The MigStreetRacer project for the Honda CL500 is a modern reinterpretation of the classic "café racer" style, mixing the essence of the original movement with today's technology and style. The idea was to create a sporty, fun and safe motorcycle that retains the spirit of the café racer, but is perfect for everyday use. The final idea was not only to replicate a café racer, but to create a motorcycle that encompasses its soul and tradition, reinterpreted for those who live the world of two wheels today.

CHANGES:

Complete fiberglass kit that includes a tank with a recess for inserting keys and a 900 bold or style single-seater tailpiece, a single-seater seat in eco-leather and alcantara. Fiberglass tank with integrated original fuel pump and racing quick-release cap. The traditional forks and scrambler handlebars have been replaced by semi-handlebars and upside-down forks from the Honda cb 300, while maintaining the 19” rim, a distinctive feature of the CL500. The exhaust system has also been redesigned to be lighter and more aggressive, in full café racer style.
Under tail with integrated LED stop and turn signals in carbon forged, flat front fairing with integrated original headlight in carbon forged, front mudguard in carbon forged and aluminium, front tank fixing bracket in carbon forged.
The metal flake grey paint job, with the iconic Honda wing stylised in three tones of candy orange, creates a modern look, whilst still using classic 80s techniques such as metal flake, giving the bike a vintage yet timeless feel.
